We have to be honest. There IS a dangerous Illegal Invasion!
Zoom out. We’re on a planet. A world which exists due to migration.
And by every metric migration into the United States is of benefit to its society.
Undocumented immigrants pay more in taxes than its corporations and provide invaluable labor, create new jobs, boost the economy and increase social cohesion. And commit less crimes.
Even more fundamental: human beings have the right to travel our planet. Period.
And if there’s a danger of mass migration into or out of someplace on our planet, that means something is wrong — and reveals the need to take care of our people, which are all people.
All our efforts should be made toward caring for ourselves, and our people - which means focusing on real profits, a word which means “progress” – to feed, clothe, house, and care for each other as one human family. That is the only way to be free.
That is what it means to say Free Palestine. Free Sudan. Free Congo. Free the USA. Free Russia and Ukraine. Free China. Free the United Nations. Free us all from the soul-killing delusions of difference. - Matthew Cooke
