How ICE Became a Domestic Terror Force

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has always sold itself as a technocratic arm of “law and order” at the border. But in Trump’s second  term, that façade has slipped. In this video, LJ traces how ICE has evolved into a de‑facto domestic paramilitary force, documenting recent killings of U.S. citizens, systemic brutality during raids, and lethal neglect inside for‑profit detention centers, where overcrowding, disease, and lack of medical care have turned routine enforcement into a conveyor belt of abuse and death.

He ties these patterns to a long U.S. history of state repression—from the Palmer Raids to Japanese internment—and to the Trump administration’s massive budget expansion, propaganda campaigns, and lowered hiring standards that have turned ICE into a magnet for extremists while shielding agents from accountability through federal immunity and jurisdictional games.

Drawing on both U.S. law and UN definitions of terrorism, the video poses an unsettling question: when a government agency uses violence, fear, and family separation to deter migration and intimidate communities, at what point does it meet the criteria of “domestic terrorism” itself?

Rather than treating ICE’s excesses as isolated scandals, LJ invites viewers to see them as the predictable outcome of a system that dehumanizes migrants as “invaders,” normalizes mass raids as political theater, and asks the public to accept terror as a price of national security.
