20 Cove Point Arrestees faced a judge at the Calvert County Court on Monday, February 23rd 2015 for charges of trespass for blocking construction of Dominion's Cove Point, the first Liquified Natural Gas Export Terminal in the United States. They were all charged with trespass and sentenced a 3-year probation in addition to an $150 fine. Though the court system has demonstrated the severe injustice within Calvert County, our movement will not be deterred from protecting the health and safety of residents of residents of Cove Point, communities of the Marcellus Shale where the gas will be transported from, and people all around the world who will be facing the effects of climate change. The fight to save Cove Point has only just begun.
