The Urban Farming Guys have been busy the last several years, doing amazing work transforming one of the most blighted inner-city zip codes in Kansas City. They're not just growing food, but the hopes and dreams of a community, too.
Now they've got big plans to turn an old warehouse in the neighborhood into 'MakerSpace' - a community resource center featuring everything from urban agriculture to robotics and a huge basement full of aquaponic growing. It's going to be a 20K square ft laboratory that will change the game for the inner city youth of Lykins Neighborhood.
Part 2 is the first short film they released in 2011 that kicked off their journey. Part 3 is an update on the UFG MakerSpace funding drive. Great news!
