Education Under Fire
Mon, Mar 26 2012 7:30pm to 9pm
644 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, KS 66044 · Cost: 0.00

Education Under Fire is a documentary by Single Arrow Productions and is co-sponsored by Amnesty International. The film is about human rights violations that have been occurring for decades.

The documentary details the struggles that Iranians of the minority Baha'i religion face when trying to obtain higher education.

During this event, you will have an opportunity to view this 30 minute documentary and engage in a discussion afterwards.

The event is free of charge and reasonably priced refreshments are provided by Liberty Hall.

In the video below Rainn Wilson voices his concern on this issue.

\"The film connects a diverse audience to a grave human rights issue, a powerful story of resilience against oppression, and the need to respect human rights everywhere.\"

\"One of the most powerful human documentaries I have ever seen, Education Under Fire is sure to galvanize viewers who will be exposed to an outrage that until now has received little attention — the systematic denial of an entire religious community of the right to pursue higher education in their own country.\"
— Elise Auerbach, Iran Specialist for Amnesty International USA
