BBC News School Report 2014 at Al Akhawayn School Ifrane (ASI)

By Bill Bartlett / filmsforaction.org

Students and staff at ASI are being challenged to produce the news for the BBC on March 27th 2014.

The schools news' website will link into the BBC news via the Co-operative Academy of Manchester's website. On March 27th the students' news will feed in live to the BBC giving the students a chance to have their news seen by millions of people around the world!

Students in both schools are learning reporting skills and focusing on what it is, exactly, that makes "the news". They have been taking master-classes with their teacher, Bill Bartlett, and also via the web with four BBC news journalists. Many students are already following BBC guidelines to be Clear, Concise and Correct (the three C's!) in their news reports.

In a recent interview conducted by students at ASI, their school principal revealed his hero secrets. You can read about them, and many other issues making the Moroccan news, at the ASI BBC NEWS SCHOOL REPORT website.
