Based on three actual stories told by young people in New Mexico after participating in a survey on youth health access, this video recreates what it can be like for young people to access health services and information. Running Time: 6.5 minutes
Christian Redbird is a college sophomore who works with Albuquerque youth by teaching sex education and how to access health care. She is currently working on a degree in Political Science at Central New Mexico Community College. She plans to stay involved with non-profit organizations, like Young Women United, that fight for reproductive justice. Christian's Girl Tech video has been screened at the 2013 National Conference for Media Reform in Denver and the 2013 University of New Mexico Indigenous Film Festival in Albuquerque.
