‘ A Wild Tango'
An experience is the most beautiful gift that an individual or group can receive. Over the past few months, RewildTV has travelled Argentina, from the heart of the city, to the depths of Patagonia. We finished documenting a project with the New Horizons team (NASA), and instead of coming home we decided the best value we could bring to our young start-up is an ADVENTURE. Without expectation and free of assumption we traversed the diverse Argentinian country.
Called ‘A Wild Tango’ ... to pay tribute to our experience, which was much like the dance born in Buenos Aires. The Tango - a complex and emergent dance that does not hold a definite structure, was much like our adventure. No structure and minimal planning - but rather a trip which was guided through the unique conversations and experiences along the way.
From Comodoro Rivadavia, we found ourselves at the portal to Antarctica (Ushuaia), living at the CADIC Research Centre (with some amazing and well respected scientists). Located just outside the Tierra del Fuego ('Land of Fire') which was where the English settlers named due of fires burning on the shore. Puerto Moreno Glacier was what followed, where we were met by an enormous glacier ... beyond that, we entered the largest metropolis - Buenos Aires … and immersed ourselves with the Argentinian peoples. What a dance!
This visually engaging short film immerses you into our ‘Wild Tango’ with Argentina . May it inspire you to experience more, research further, take more chances and fall in love.
A big thanks to Hemporium SA and Cape Union Mart for sponsoring us with Gear, as there is no way we would have got to the places we wanted to get to. And a special thank you to the Coulson family for opening your home to us - what a special time this was.
