Hoosier Women in Art Opening Reception

This summer the Garfield Park Arts Center will host its second annual Hoosier Women in Art Exhibition. Local women will share their talents, their stories, and a part of themselves with a focus on the theme "modernity." French art critic Charles Baudelaire is credited with creating the term "modernity" to speak to a feeling or an ephemeral experience of life that is present in urban metropolises, and the space in which art is tasked with capturing those experiences. Artworks will include ceramics, paintings, textile arts and other mediums. We will also be working with ASH Interactive to make this an enhanced media exhibition.
