Films For Action - Houston

Project Refugee is an initiative of the Fight for Justice Coalition, Coordinating Council for Social Action of Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church - Houston, whose mission is to educate, advocate, and provide service opportunities for members of our faith community and the Greater Houston community on the issues surrounding refugee and immigrant justice. Project Refugee expands the scope of the term "refugee" beyond those seeking security across national borders to include economic and environmental refugees. Due to the failure of our economic system to provide a sense of security and the continued destruction of our environmental systems renders us ALL refugees searching for security and new ways to live in a radically changing society and world. As a result, Project Refugee screens films, presents speakers, and provides a forum for thought-provoking opportunities for discussion and ACTion!
