Rally to Save the SRS!!!

Sat, Jul 16, 2011 9:30am
1141 Massachusetts Street Lawrence, Kansas · Cost: 0

Join others this Saturday, July 16th from 9:30am to 10:30am at the South Park Gazebo for a rally to protest the decision of Governor Sam Brownback to close the Lawrence Social & Rehabilitation Services office.  Closing the Lawrence office could put as many as 87 Lawrencians out of work, and deny counseling and services to hundreds of citizens struggling with disabilities and economic hardships.

There will be guest speakers from around the community as well as live music and opportunities for you to find out what you can do to help save our SRS office.

The last meeting about the SRS drew a crowd of over 700 people.  The more support we have, the better chance we'll have to make state and national news.
