The public is invited to participate in the planting of the KU School of Pharmacy Medicinal Garden, a new educational medicinal garden designed by the faculty and staff of the KU Native Medicinal Plant Research Program. The garden will have five themed beds of medicinal plants, about 70 species total. The event will open with a short presentation about the new garden as well as KU’s first medicinal garden, planted by the School of Pharmacy in the 1920s. KU pharmacy lots 227 and 228, as well as the Park and Ride lot, will be open after 2:30 p.m. for those attending this event. www.nativeplants.ku.edu
