This will be in the Jayhawk Room of the Union, on the fifth floor. The film is about high school students in Arizona fighting to save their ethnic studies program. Mexican-American students who take part in the program graduate at a rate nearly 50% higher than the national average, yet it comes under assault from legislators who accuse it of engendering ethnic tensions and being anti-american. There may be a little talk before and a little time for discussion afterwards. Plus, free coffee and whatever other free things we can manage.... and it will be fun!
