Sun, Mar 9, 2014 2pm to 4pm
4509 Walnut, Kansas City, Missouri 64111 - · Cost: Free

Everyone is welcome to attend PeaceWorks Kansas City's annual open meeting, Sunday March 9th, 2pm - 4pm. Socializing and hors d'oeuvres from 2-2:30, meeting begins around 2:30.

Join us to celebrate our successes of the previous year, discuss our plans for the future, elect new board members and officers, and present our Charles E. Bebb Peace Merit Award (for an individual) and the Kris & Lynn Cheatum Community Peace Award (for an organization).

This year's meeting will highlight last summer's action at the NNSA Kansas City Plant that included 24 arrests and an unusual sentence for the peaceful resisters. Also, this year's Trifecta Resista weekend of actions in May, here's a link to the event shared on FFA: https://www.filmsforaction.org/kc/events/trifecta-resista-2014/.
