Meeting Description:
January Digital Dialogue Webinar: Advancing a People's Media Justice Agenda in 2014 Co-hosted by Media Literacy Project & Media Mobilizing Project Join MAG-Net as we kick off the New Year with an interactive webinar that highlights topline media policy issues that impact the communities we care about. What’s next in the fight for Internet freedom? What do you need to know about digital surveillance? How can you help protect the Lifeline program? These are just some of the issues we will address, along with updates on media ownership diversity, municipal broadband, and community media. Given recent developments, we’ll lead with the recent court ruling that struck down the FCC's Open Internet Order. Join us as we explore how this, and other policy fights could impact our justice-based work. Now is the time to come together to advance a visionary agenda for a people's media policy agenda. This interactive webinar will feature media policy and community media advocates who will shed light on the challenges and opportunities for the coming year.
