February Indiana People's Assembly - Raise the Wage
Mon, Feb 23, 2015 11am to 12:30pm
Indiana Statehouse, 2nd floor, North Atrium -
Feb 19, 2015

Are you tired of living in a state with low quality health care, poor worker's rights, abysmal long-term care rating, high infant mortality, high gender wage gap, low quality environmental standards, and with majority of elected officials listening to the wealthy and not the majority of the people? Join us at the February People's Assembly highlighting low wage workers’ struggles in relation to workers’ rights, social security/pension, voting access, students, and quality community. We will rally in the atrium of the statehouse to listen to workers, community leaders, and legislators testify to the need to raise wages for working people in this state. Afterwards, attendees will demand elected officials take the “live the wage challenge” in support of a living wage! I will try to keep this event page updated as we confirm our list of speakers. In the meantime, please share with your friends and ask them to attend. For more information, contact Yin Kyi at yin.kyi@seiuhcil.org
