Economics of Happiness

W. 29th & Willamette

Transition Town Eugene hosts this showing of "The Economics of Happiness" a film that argues that "'going local' is the way to repair our fractured world – our ecosystems, our societies and our selves"  The film features Vandana Shiva, Bill McKibben, David Korten, Michael Shuman, Juliet Schor, Richard Heinberg, Rob Hopkins, Andrew Simms, Zac Goldsmith, Samdhong Rinpoche, and others.  The film runs only a bit more than an hour.

It seems that the film has arrived at the right time, but is it the convincing, accessible and a sufficiently rousing film about localization that we need in order to raise the issue to the next level of the debate?

Come watch it with us, and stick around for a discussion on the film and the topic of relocalization of our economy.
