You wouldn’t go to a gun lobbyist or a Smith and Wesson executive for advice about your health. But that’s who is controlling our nation’s response to one of the deadliest epidemics of our time: the public health crisis of gun violence. Thanks to gun-maker money, the NRA has managed to buy laws like Florida’s notorious “Docs V. Glocks,” which bars physicians from asking their patients about whether they have a gun in their home – let alone whether that gun is accessible to a curious toddler.
It’s time to end this epidemic. Doctors are the most trusted sources of health advice in America.
Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films are taking on the National Rifle Association (NRA) and gun companies in full force. Over the next year, we will embark on a mission to expose the public health crisis they have caused in the name of profit and furthering their extreme ideology. We will be telling the stories of how guns - and the billions made off of them - affect the lives of everyday Americans and what we can do to put an end to this profit-driven crisis. http://www.TheRealNRA.org
Through films and campaigns, Brave New Films will work with partners to educate and mobilize doctors, teachers, students, workers, communities of color, college campuses and many more in the fight for a country where Americans’ lives and safety are not endangered by companies and politicians putting profits over people’s lives. Join us to demand – and achieve - common sense gun regulations in our lifetime.
Don’t let the NRA and gun companies continue to make a killing off of our loved ones.
