Excerpts from The Black Power MixTape: 1967-1975

Swedish journalists came to the United States to document the anti-war and Black Power movements of the late 60s and early 70s. The Black Power Mixtape combines music, original 16mm footage, and contemporary audio interviews from leading African American artists, activists, musicians, and scholars.

Note: This is not the full film, about 30mins of footage is missing and as a result it doesn't hang together as well as the whole. Still, it's worth watching for amazing interviews, insights and rarely seen footage chronicling some of the defining moments of the Black Power movement. Worth searching for a copy of the full film on DVD, you won't be disappointed.
