Troy Karlin Interviews Tim Hjersted, co-founder of Films For Action, on KLWN

By Films For Action / filmsforaction.org

This summer Troy Karlin started a radio show on the local Lawrence, Kansas AM station KLWN 1320 called "On the Brighter Side." As Troy put it, "I turned off my television over two years ago...the news was getting so negative I couldn't handle it anymore. It made me anxious and nervous and even paranoid. I know there are a lot of good people doing great things around the world...where can I hear about the "brighter side of things?"

So with that theme in mind, Troy started interviewing people from the Lawrence, KS community who are doing positive, inspiring things for the community and who are living their passions and following their dreams.

His July 7th show had Tim Hjersted on the show - the director and a co-founder of the Films For Action project, which is headquartered in Lawrence, KS where it first began.

The interview with Tim starts at the 4:10 minute mark. Listen to it here. It covers how Films For Action came to be, what the group hopes to achieve, and other questions behind the project.
