The new Website has Launched!
By Tim Hjersted / filmsforaction.org

Hot blueberry pancakes! The website is finally done!! ... (!!!) As the excessive use of exclamation points must surely communicate, we're pretty excited. Along with a complete overhaul of the visual look and design of the site (courtesy of Mason Umholtz, who has also been the one behind all of our flyer illustrations), our wizard of the matrix code - known to most folks as Elisha Dragen - has been busy at work behind the scenes, bringing all of the great new interactive features we've been talking about to life. Just a couple of the newest features makes it easy to leave comments on our blog, and send us messages through the contact page. We'd love to get your feedback on the new site, so try out the comments feature and leave us a message.

Here's the breakdown on the new features:

A regularly updated blog that allows people to easily leave comments and discuss the issues presented at the film screenings further online with others in the Lawrence community.

An often updated collection of the best documentaries, short films, and presentations available to watch online, providing a resource to further explore all of the amazing alternative information that is out there but which isn't always easy to find.

A Lending Library, which will allow you to view our collection of more than 60 films that you can rent from us for free, enabling you to watch many films we haven't shown ourselves, and to host your own screening of a film that covers an issue most important to you.

A detailed Campaigns section providing further information and resources on actions you can take to address the issues presented at our past film screenings.

A Get Involved section offering ways you can get involved with the Films for Action project (with how-to guides and other resources coming soon).

A page dedicated to our Films for Action TV program on Public Access TV, with detailed descriptions of each film, and resources to learn more about Public Access.

And finally a Related Links section that will catalog many of the best links, articles and resources we've found online for easy reference.

Jump in and enjoy! There are already over 30 great films in the Online Films section and we'll be adding more content every day. Cheers!
