New Shareable Widget: Add Films For Action Videos to Your Blog or Website
By Tim Hjersted / filmsforaction.org
May 17, 2009
We've been busy the last few days developing a sharable widget that makes it easy to embed Films For Action videos within your own blog or website.

The widget below displays the six most recent videos being watched on the FFA site, continually updating to provide a fresh stream of indy-media content. By clicking on the "Grab and Share"link at the bottom of the widget you can copy and paste the widget code directly into your site. Try it out and see what you think.

The widget will work on WordPress.com, BlogSpot.com, and any personally hosted website, as well as any other blog hosting sites that allow scripts. It won’t work on Myspace or Facebook, yet. We’re currently working on a custom app for those sites.

We have three different sizes, each optimized for different column widths. (200px, 230px, and 300px) Below is the 230px Width Version.

You can see how the widget can be integrated within a site (shown here embedded within a WordPress blog side-bar).

You can also see how it looks on a BlogSpot blog here.

Our catalog of videos on the site spans nearly 400 of the best indy media / activist-issue videos that can be watched free online.

Get the embed code for this widget and choose the width that will best fit your site.

After you add it, let us know if there are any ideas you have for changes or improvements, or different versions we could make that will better tailor to your site size and color scheme.

In solidarity, Tim
