8-week Compassionate Communication Foundations Series
Wed, Mar 23, 2011 6:15pm
1407 Mass Street · Cost: 200-350
Mar 22, 2011

We'll be meeting each week from 6:15 to 8:45pm for eight weeks to explore and practice the basics of Nonviolent Communication (NVC/Compassionate Communication). Various forms of learning will include working in groups, using worksheets, doing role-plays, "empathy poker," and many other forms of dynamic learning. We will use material that is alive for you in our exploration of the practical skills of Nonviolent Communication. My intention is that by the end of the series you will have the understanding, motivation, and basic tools to begin integrating the "NVC consciousness" into all areas of your life.

Great for parents, educators, health professionals, coaches, couples, and any individual who has at least one relationship with another human being (self included ;). Topics for each week: Introduction to NVC, Self-Connection and Empathy, Transforming Habitual Responses, Observations and Requests, NVC Tree of Life, Working with "No," Embracing NVC as a Practice, and Proactive Conversations and Gratitude.

*Sliding scale: $200-350.
$50 due at March 23rd class, remainder due March 30th.
Payment plans available.
Scholarships available once rent for the space is covered.

*Just announced:  TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE/BRING A FRIEND FOR FREE!  So, if you bring a friend, you can both decide how much you are able to pay together, within the sliding scale (for example, each within $100-175.  I want you to be there!

My vision is to not turn ANYONE away for lack of funds, though I am unsure at this point if that will be possible for this class. Please contact me if you are unable to pay at the low end of the sliding scale and willing to explore options for having you in the class. (Contributing at the higher end of the sliding scale makes scholarships available for those who are unable to pay. Yay for interdependence :)!
