Well folks, it has been one hell of a run. And the time has come to see my last Sunday in Kansas City, so what better context than to celebrate the work of those friends I call family. So I'll be hosting my last Sunday at the Gillis Center, one of the largest and oldest non profits in the city, who specialize in providing homes and education for troubled youth. My boy Theo, has been tirelessly giving every waking moment to taking all his experience with urban agriculture and education and creating an outdoor classroom, garden and learning center for the kids there.
So as this new growing season begins we offer another great lineup in our value exchange series:
-Ashley Anders will be teaching a hand's on workshop on adobe brick making, and everyone will get to take their own brick home.
-Bill Cook will be discussing his livelihood as a proveyer of spices, and some of those very spices will go into the food prepared.
-Finally our old ally Niel will be teaching the first of a series of workshops on growing, this one will feature lighting and everything you need to know to get your transplants up and rarin to go before it's time to plant them in the ground.
-This is a vegetarian pot luck event, feel free to bring some food or just yourselves
-This is a non-alcoholic event
Come out one and all, do some learning, meet good people, BE COMMUNITY! And now as always, thank for your continued support.
