A VIRTUE-ALL EVENT: We need your help to grow the Seed-Savers-KC group and get more folks invited to our event. Pass these links along and watch this virtual event for updates. Thanks! ** Please promote our group link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/seed.savers.kc ** and our event: https://www.facebook.com/events/131901620304384/ ~~~ Free event where you bring in plants you have grown from seed or transplanted from the garden several weeks before so they are well established. Label each pot. Venetian blinds can be cut up into great plant tags-use a pencil to write on them. Everyone takes home appx same amt that they bring to the exchange only all new to them. Those who may come w/o any plants are still allowed to chose a few since many of us bring very large amt. Please do not bring any plants, bulbs or seeds that are GMO(genetically modified organisms.) Our group is adamantly against GMOs and cannot promote them in any manner esp in an exchange! Please don't bring invasives, weedy things, or super common types like the orange day lily-very few want to trade for it. Good idea to bring extra pots, labels, trays, boxes, sacks since some people forget the rules and bring things unpotted. We are unable to provide these items for you due to the volume of people and plants. This is also Native Plant Day at The Discovery Center so plan on getting free plants from there as well while you tour the grounds. Gardeners Connect will be having their monthly meeting and a speaker as well at 10:00. Any questions can be asked here on the facebook page or if need be you may call me Dayna 816-356-9892 ~~~ Seed-Savers of Greater Kansas City ~ Promoting and Propagating Heirloom (NON-GMO/NON-TERMINATOR) Seeds and Plants A number of motivated growers have asked about forming this group ~ organizing effectively here, in a grass-roots manner, we will extend to other venues. * The goal of Seed-Savers of Greater Kansas City is to Promote and Propagate Heirloom (NON-GMO/NON-TERMINATOR) Seeds and Plants - we will provide communication and informational assets to/from any and all cooperative growers in this region. * Seed-Savers of Greater Kansas City does not and will not guarantee the quality or reliability of any exchanges between individuals or organizations. * Seed-Savers of Greater Kansas City is not directly affiliated with the commercial entity known as "Seed Savers Exchange."
