A local film about the plight of the homeless community right here in Indianapolis, and the difficulty in accessing resources here in the city.
This event is free to attend, though we are asking attendees to make a donation to the Professional Blended Street Outreach.
Professional Blended Street Outreach is a group of over 40 professional outreach workers from 16 different agencies in Indianapolis that work collaboratively using best practice models and a set of common standards to assist those persons who live on the street. Members of Professional Blended Street Outreach build relationships with each individual, working toward the ultimate goal of getting off the streets into permanent housing and reaching their full potential.
Professional Blended Street Outreach is not a church, but rather a coalition of social service providers that have banded together in their street outreach efforts with the homeless population.
In addition, attendees are asked to contact City County Councillors in support of Proposal 291. Full text of the proposal can be read, here:http://cms.indygov.org/proposals/2014/PROP14-291.PDF
