About Me
\"Time goes by so fast, people go in & out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you” ~Unknown
?\"Live simply, laugh frequently, love generously, care deeply,
speak kindly, and let God take care of the rest.\" ?
Survivorship begins on the first day of cancer diagnosis.
I am married to my high school sweetheart (Phil) of almost 28 years. He is not only my high school sweetheart, but my friend and my life partner. We have two boys –
Adam is studying to be a civil and mechanical engineer with a minor in political science. We're proud of him and the fine young man he has grown into. He had to realign his childhood dreams of becoming a Marine when he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a 6th grader.
Matt is 15 and is quickly coming into his own. He is currently pursuing his dreams of becoming a teacher, yet keeping an open mind about other opportunities. He loves baseball and recently discovered a love of woodworking and playing guitar.
Their dad and I are very humbled by their servant hearts.
I recently returned to school at Gonzaga University to major in English (writing track) and a minor in Environmental Studies with eyes on applying to nursing school. I've rediscovered my love of science — I'm following my bliss.
Our family recently faced a health crisis when Phil was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. After intensive seven months of chemotherapy, and a stem cell transplant (April) he is doing well with some rough days He continues a chemotherapy regiment. We are blessed to continue to have time with one another. Cancer forces you to live life with an open heart and open arms.
