Join us to view and discuss this film about the Cuban model of healthcare examining its role in the welfare of Cubans but also its affect on the health of many others around the world. It portrays a different model of a medical provider than what we are used to in the US: one who is truly an integral member of the community they serve, working with others to assess needs and solutions.
Our event is free but we encourage the purchase of a snack or drink to support the coffee shop , whose owner allows us to use his space.
We ( the Delray Beach Move to Amend Affiliate and MoveOn Council of South Palm Beach/North Broward) have had an on-going monthly film series for the past few years we called "Films for Thought" aiming to provoke thoughtful discussion that leads to action. We show these films in a local coffee shop and have had regular customers join us.
