Private Republican corporations count and compile the votes with secret and unverifiable software. Just as they did in 2000 and in 2004, and we all know how that turned out. Accordingly, the stark fact remains: the Republicans might "win" this election, regardless of the preference of the voters.
The culprits who rigged the previous elections are fully aware that they might face hard time in the federal slammer if President Obama’s Attorney General is ordered to investigate past elections. Thus they are acutely motivated to use their considerable resources to keep Obama out of the White House. It follows that if Obama-Biden are to win, they must win big.

Voters in Democratic-leaning precincts across the country that were disenfranchised in the 2004 and 2006 elections might be again in 2008, according to the documentary film, “Uncounted.”
The film’s director, David Earnhardt, said his documentary exposed the problems of racially based voter suppression and intimidation, under-voting and electronic voting security problems. He interviewed politicians, voters, journalists and electronic voting machine workers.
“College students should care because of the transient nature of college students,” Earnhardt said. “They are a demographic highly affected by confusing registration rules as well as Election Day shenanigans like improper voter registration purges and last-minute precinct changes.”

The Supreme Court stopped a recount in Florida in 2000 that would have made Al Gore president. This is not speculation. The recount was later done. Numerous elections were stolen in 2002, in Colorado, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and elsewhere, including Senate, Governor, and House races in Georgia that were practically openly swiped by Diebold's elections unit president flying in at the last minute and altering the election machines.

ALERTED BY Ohio's Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner, Franklin County election officials have ordered the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation to seize as an official crime scene some 15 touch-screen voting machines that had produced improbable results in a state-wide 2006 election.
In addition, a bogus Homeland Security Alert that led to 2004 general election vote counting shenanigans in a key southwestern Ohio county is under renewed investigation. It is well documented and widely believed that numerous election "irregularities" orchestrated by J. Kenneth Blackwell, Ohio's former Secretary of State, succeeded in stealing Ohio's 20 electoral votes for George W. Bush in 2004, delivering to him an undeserved, catastrophic second term as President.
