Rebooting Our Perspective
Rebooting Our Perspective

Let's all take a moment to clear our aching, overstuffed heads. Empty your mind of every piece of political rhetoric you've heard for one moment. Now please, for the sake of human lives everywhere, give serious consideration to the fact that there's only one candidate running who is offering us a PEACE OFFENSIVE while working on our worsening issues of crony capitalism, oligarchy, health care, climate change, clean energy, infrastructure, jobs, education, etc here at home- finally.

This is what we want and need, isn't it? Not tomorrow, not just in theory after years of one step forward, two steps back "trickle-down" / "hope and change"/ "incremental progress" / "peaceful transition of power" propaganda... or whatever their high-dollar focus groups come up with next in 2020's election narrative strategy meetings with all the big bank representatives, corporate lobbyists, and the influentially wealthy both foreign and domestic. Two faces, right Hillary? Great deal, right Donald?

Seriously look at the establishment candidates. Do you really want to be responsible for the next batch of drone strikes? The next profit-motivated wave of false "war on terror" brand terrorism? The next American son or daughter sent "patriotically" to kill or die for the agendas of undemocratic elitist greed and power- the very same unethical, inhumane, untrustworthy characteristics that both Red and Blue now completely, irrefutable embody and represent? I mean, the proof is literally being published daily now.

If we must choose a lesser evil, why not pick out of three instead of two? We've been divided up, belittled, made to look like conspiracy lunatics and violent thugs. We've been talked down to, called names, and treated as though their job isn't to represent us. Polls have been rigged, talking points rehearsed, and 'damage' is being 'handled'. Does that sound like a functional democracy, or a pay-to-play puppet government of bad political actors, placating the ignorant, gullible masses? Are we really naive enough to empower that?

Our long overdue, falsely restrained political revolution lives on if we choose it. Apathetic Independents, despairing Berners, dedicated Greens, justifiably angry Trumpers, and ethically plagued Hillary fans- surely the one thing we can all universally agree on is that enough is indeed enough. Our nation badly needs to heal and clean house. So can we please pick Dr. Jill Stein, for all our sakes, and begin anew afterward with a cleaner, greener slate? After all, neither controlling-yet-minority corporate party represents We the People any more.

The revolution will not be televised, because the 1% controls the narrative. Polls are rigged, and pundits are already dividing up the states into colors as though we don't have any choice. What do you say we stop letting the criminals who pull the strings dictate our futures? How about we finally take back our America- together?
