Whatever you think you know about our election systems or Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, this film will make you question further why the news media fails to accurately inform the public. Directed by GNN's Ian Inaba, creator of Eminem's "Mosh" music video, American Blackout critically examines the contemporary tactics used to control our democratic process and silence voices of political dissent.

Many have heard of the alleged voting irregularities that occurred during the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004. Until now, these incidents have gone under- reported and are commonly written-off as insignificant rumors or unintentional mishaps resulting from an overburdened election system.

American Blackout chronicles the recurring patterns of voter disenfranchisement from Florida 2000 to Ohio 2004 while following the story of Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. Mckinney not only took an active role investigating these election debacles, but has found herself in the middle of her own after publicly questioning the Bush Administration about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Featuring: Congressional members John Conyers, John Lewis, Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, Bernie Sanders and journalists Greg Palast and Bob Fitrakis.

Fantastic movie that every American should watch. McKinney should be respected as a national hero.

She called for an investigation on 9/11. What is needed is a criminal indictment for the perpetrators (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld....).. If anyone is still in doubt, see Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth for the most persuasive and logical presentation of the evidence.

What was not mentioned in this movie is the manipulation which occurs after the votes are cast. Who controls the software, controls the outcome. An independent, non-partisan committee comprised of mathematicians from the best universities in the U.S. concluded in a major study that statistically it was impossible for the exit polls to differ from the recorded votes by the margin that it did (it was about 8%, but even higher in the swing states). This study found that 100% of the errors nationally were in Bush's favor. Not 90%, not 95%, or even 99%....100%. How this was done, and who might have done it was beyond the scope of the study.

Where is the outrage? Americans, how do you tolerate this??? How bad does it have to get before you say ENOUGH?

Voting is no longer the answer. The system is rigged, as this movie so clearly demonstrates. People, we need to do something NOW.

Well said, Robert. The angle we're tackling it from is education, as a step 1. If we can get the information on this site out to a critical mass, we will hit a tipping point where people will be making so many small changes in mass numbers that the power dynamics will start to shift away from empire and towards something more sane.
